There were a branch of Lamberts that did marry into a Cherokee family at a later date. I think his daddy o...My great Grand father was Eli. I think his daddy or grand father was William from what I've read. My grand father was the youngest son of Eli and was raised on Lambert Rd I'm told. He was born in 1910. I always loved riding by five points, Lambert dance hall, Missions etc and thinking what is must've been like for Rev John when he first came over the hill and saw the beautiful fields of Stanley co. It's inspiring to know we come from such a warrior man of God like Rev John. I've been told we were related to the Cherokee nation. Is that true. It has records of a John Thomas Lambert and there are tons of Lambert's in Cherokee NC today. I sure would love to meet you. Th k you for all you do.
